Bra that can be used as a golf putting mat

Triumph have designed the new bra to appeal to Japan’s busy golfing women.

The green corset-style garment can be removed and unrolled to create a 1.5m-long putting mat.

When the user sinks a putt into one of the cups, a built-in speaker pumps out a congratulatory “Nice shot!”.

The bra also features pockets for extra golf balls and tees, and a detachable flag pin that serves as a score pencil.

The bra set comes with a skirt with the words “Be Quiet” printed on the rear, which doubles up as a flag for use on the course.

Quite how the user is supposed to do cover herself when she removes the underwear is unclear.

Twice a year, Triumph unveils a new novelty bra in Japan to highlight social trends.

The novelty bras are generally designed to raise awareness of an issue, rather than be worn regularly.

Triumph claim that the Nice Cup in Bra is a response to the growing popularity of golf among Japanese women.

In previous years the company have invented the postal bra – with pockets for letters – and a chopstick bra made from miso soup and rice bowls, with a special holder for chopsticks.

In May they unveiled the novelty husband hunter bra, which features a countdown clock that stops once an engagement ring is inserted into the mechanism, and plays Mendelssohn’s “The Wedding March”.

Giant baby born to Indonesian parents

Indonesia BabyOn Friday, an Indonesian woman gave birth to the heaviest baby boy in the country – - a record 19.2 lbs (8.7 kg). The parents named him, Akbar, or the Great One in Arabic.

The baby boy was born via cesarean delivery to a mother who is diabetic.

The father was happy that the mother and baby are doing well, but worried about feeding a third mouth, especially, hoping that he “can afford to feed the baby enough, because he needs more milk than other babies.”

Due to the size of the baby and the news he generated, people from all over the world and from villages in Indonesia were making a trip to take a peak at the newborn.  Crowds were seen pushing to get a peak at the 24 inches baby at Abdul Manan hospital in the northern town of Kisaran on the island of Sumatra.

The baby’s extreme weight was the result of feeding on its diabetic mother. He fed nonstop while inside the mother, and given the excessive glucose from the mother’s body, grew to his current size when delivered.

This is third of three children that the parents have. The two other children’s weight were 11.6 lbs and 9.9 lbs at birth.

The former Indonesian record holder was a 14.7-pound (6.7-kilogram) baby boy born on the outskirts of the capital, Jakarta, in 2007.

Guinness World Records cites the heaviest baby as being born in the U.S. in 1879, weighing 23.75 pounds (10.4 kilograms). However, it died 11 hours after birth. The book also cites 22.5-pound (10.2-kilogram) babies born in Italy in 1955 and in South Africa in 1982.

Serena Williams cussed out Asian lineman disqualified from US Opens semi-final

serena-and-asian-womanIn an ugly turn of event, Serena Williams, the number 2 seeded woman player at the 2009 US Opens, cussed out the lineman after a controversial foot fault call, was disqualified from the woman’s semi-final match.  It was obvious that Serena, a 5 feet 9 inches tennis player with a lot of muscle masses, intimidated the short Asian lady. I would be scared of her too if she came at me with a tennis racket. Good for woman tennis that she got disqualified. It was unprofessional and champions don’t do that. There are a lot of young people who admire and look up to Serena, and this is a moment that she should not be proud of. She lost her cool and obviously lost the game.

The unseeded, unranked Clijsters reached the final by beating No. 2 Williams 6-4, 7-5 Saturday night.

With Williams serving at 5-6, 15-30 in the second set, she faulted on her first serve. On the second, the line judge called a foot fault, making it a double-fault. That made the score 15-40, giving Clijsters a match point. Williams went over and said something to the line judge, who reported it to the chair umpire. That led to the chair umpire awarding a point to Clijsters, ending the match.

Williams already had been given a code violation warning when she broke her racket after losing the first set.

According to CBS, this is what she said:

I swear to God, I will take this fucking ball and shove it down your fucking throat.

The only thing that is going down is the endorsement that companies put into Serena. Especially that giant “Spongebath” advertisement in the background. There goes your stocks!

Having to wait through the rain delay to watch the match, this left the average tennis fan an empty feeling after the game.

Dirtiest apartment in Queens

Garbage Filled ApartmentCops busting into a Queens apartment expecting to find the remains of dead rotting bodies, but instead found Ming Li Sung living among garbage inside his apartment.

When firefighters busted down the the door, they found tenant Ming Li Sung was very much alive – and living with rotting garbage piled floor to ceiling.

The man was taken to Emhurst Hospital Center for evaluation. The firefighters and the polices who arrived on the scene were also taken in because they couldn’t stand the stench. Several threw up, adding to the smell of the stinky building.

Several tenants moved out of the building because they thought they were living next to the sewer system.

The condition was so bad that dead flies were found along the hallway. If flies couldn’t make it, you would have to wonder what could, according to the Housing Authority.

One of the women living in the building now claim that it’s possible that the stench caused the miscarriage of her twins during her pregnancy.

The list goes on and on…

Newly Found Giant Plant Eats Rodents

A giant plant that can gobble up bugs and even rodents has been discovered in Southeast Asia.

The carnivorous plant (Nepenthes attenboroughii) was found by researchers atop Mount Victoria, a remote mountain in Palawan, Philippines. The research team, led by Stewart McPherson of Red Fern Natural History Productions, had learned of the plant in 2000 after a group of Christian missionaries stumbled upon it while trekking up a remote mountain and reported it to a local newspaper.

Plants that eat rodents
The discovery, announced last week, was detailed in the Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society.

The pitcher plant is the world’s second largest and can grow to more than 4 feet tall, with a pitcher-shaped structure filled with liquid. The plant secretes nectar around its mouth to lure rats, insects and other prey into its trap. Once an animal has fallen in, enzymes and acids in the fluid break down the carcass of the drowned victim.

“All carnivorous plants have evolved to catch insects but the biggest ones, such as this one, can eat rats and frogs,” McPherson told LiveScience. “It’s truly remarkable that a plant this big has been undiscovered for so long.”

The world’s largest pitcher plant (nepenthes rajah) was discovered in 1858 by British naturalist Hugh Low in Borneo. The plant’s rat-eating habit was confirmed four years later when his colleague Spenser St. John found a drowned rat inside one of the specimens.

Though some have approached McPherson to ask about the likelihood of cultivating the monster plants as mouse traps for rodent-infested regions like New York City, the botanist (who also happens to specialize in pitcher plants) says he finds the idea “a bit far-fetched.”

“Mice and rats are attracted to the sweet nectar of the plant, but it only catches them occasionally,” says McPherson. “It just isn’t practical. There will be too many mice for the plant to catch anyways.”

Thai screaming contest

The International Screaming Contest in Thailand has been won by Sergey Savelyev from Russia, who Thai Screaming Contestsquealed at 116.8 decibels, about as loud as an ambulance siren. He did not, however, break the record.

The record is held at 129 decibels, which was reached nine years ago in London. Savelyev said he’d be back to compete next year, stating confidently that, “I was only getting warmed up”. Contestants twist their bodies to get a good scream in.

The Russian walked away with about 30,000 balts ($1,300), and the bragging right of being the loudest person in the room this year. He was one of 11 finalists out of 1,500 contestants.

There are many strategies to scream louder, but here are some that will surely put you on top of the list for next year event.

  1. You should know what your voice range is (baritone, tenor, contralto, mezzo soprano, etc). If you don’t already know, then search for info on the different voice ranges. Find an instrument you can sing along to, such as a guitar or piano, find middle C (256 Hz), and figure out what range you fit in to.
  2. Warm up. Every good metal screamer does a warm-up at some time of the day before a performance. This is not a screaming warm-up, it’s a singing warm-up. People like Randy Blythe of Lamb of God, Byron Davis of God Forbid, and Phil Labonte of All That Remains, all practice conventional singing warm-up exercises before a performance; the same fundamental exercises that you would do before choir practice. This is very important for your voice so don’t be lazy and skip it. Find a singing warm-up routine, like singing the vowels–Eh, Ee, Ah, Oh, Oo–over a 5-note scale.
  3. When you first start learning, you’re going to be making a lot of dodgey noises. Like little cat growls and trying to speak like Marge Simpson. It’s important that you create your scratchy sounds from the nasal region in the back, above your throat, not low in your throat. If you make the sound from low in your throat, you will be teaching yourself to do it wrong and learning a method that will hurt you. Try to feel the difference between the Marge voice and the low-in-the-throat, gargle-like noise. You should be able to create the Marge voice without hurting yourself. Use these two points of reference as you’re learning. Remember to keep your scratchy sounds coming from higher up (the nasal region) so you don’t damage your voice. If you’re doing it wrong, it will hurt like hell. Practice intelligently. You will probably be screaming wrong in the beginning, so save your voice until you figure out how to do it right.
  4. Use your diaphragm correctly! Don’t hold the air in your chest! You should breath in and fill your stomach, not your chest.

Children proctor exams for police officers in China

Due to rampart cheating and corruption in all part of the government, top officials in China decide on another route — by letting children proctor the exams. Why not?classroom

Decked in blue and white school uniforms, the 18 fifth graders monitored the 265 police test-takers who are taking promotion exams.

According to the Liangzhou Discipline Inspection Commission and Organization Department, police officers were allowed to cheat previously by adult supervisors to prevent the officers from causing embarrassment to themselves for not knowing answers. What’s the point of exams if the answers were provided during examination anyway?

So what were the result of this new methodology? Of all the exam takers looking for 66 judge, prosecutor and investigator positions, the students identified 25 alleged cheaters, whose test results were disqualified.

Allowing these students to monitor the exams were supposed to help the Chinese government engage in “openness and transparency” according to the report.

I wonder if these children were being paid to do the job. Maybe this is free labor. The next logical place for these children is to engage themselves in China’s legislative process.
