The S2000 exists today thanks to Honda's long and
distinguished involvement with racing. Honda have collected more than 70
Grand Prix victories in Formula One racing and 65 wins in CART open-wheel
racing. And in just its second season of Indy Racing League® competition,
the company has won 14 of 16 races, plus the Manufacturers' Championship,
Drivers' Championship and Rookie of the Year. Competition makes Honda's
engineers better able to create smart, innovative designs for our production
vehicles. There's no more perfect expression of its pioneering spirit and
burning desire to win than the revolutionary S2000.
The S2000 epitomizes Honda's racing heritage. Its DNA
is that of a pure thoroughbred racer, with a lineage like a road map of
Honda engineering milestones. In fact, many of the technological
achievements you'll find in the S2000 were created in the Honda Performance
Development Center, the technical operations center for our IndyCar®
